nedvire wrote:Okay, screw all of that. Let's just continue building the other slides. Oh wait. No. Because Windows 10 decides it's a perfect moment to BSOD, in the middle of saving the file. (What about autosave? Lets just say it didn't work.) There wasn't a whole lot new so not a big problem right? Maybe, but it wasn't fun seeing it broken.

You'll hear more of my PowerPoint adventures soon, right now I need a break. Why? Because #blamepowerpoint

One of my friends had his computer broken because of Windows 10 Upgrade with very bad not compatible drivers...
Adventures are amazing, I'm waiting for more of them :) .

Soooo... I could create videos of animations instead? It doesn't fix all of my problems but I could pair it with Morph. I plan to make it in Final Cut Pro X, after all I still have it on my mac.

~Offtopic~
I found the Longhorn Days wallpaper (from this) hidden in some weird internal presentation... Not the highest quality but hey, here it is (uncropped).

Longhorn simulator v2

I have a new plan for the simulator. First up, all slides are now images. This gives performance improvements because Powerpoint doesn't have to render over 100+ objects. There's also better compatibility because the Segoe UI font isn't required. This means the simulator will work on Macs flawlessly. What about animations though? Well, I have a new plan for those too. I will animate them like intended into a video file and get the individual frames from it. Then, I'll make sure there's a slide for every frame and put a transition delay of 0.01/0.02 seconds. This gives me much more flexibility in animation, plus there's a performance increase and it will work for basically every Powerpoint version.

Longhorn simulator v2.0 m1 is uploading right now. It is broken right now, but you're free to download it. Expect more in the upcoming days. Here is my plan for the next few milestones:
m1 > Rework basic simulator slides to images
m2 > Add hyperlinks for the slides to work
m3 > Experimental animation

What are the advantages of an installer over just downloading the file? I'm not getting it ;P

It should work on PowerPoint 2010, although you should use a 1.x version of the simulator for now, since the 2.x are empty at the moment. Sorry for the late reply ;P

Update: Been working on the simulator, expect an update this weekend ^.^
