alexandru_c wrote:Well, two days ago my grandfather got a free computer with tons of CDs and DVDs with it, so, as usual, he asked me for help with it because he doesn't know anything about computers, so, I started to search through those CDs and DVDs and I found some original products, here they are:

Dell recovery disk (Windows XP Pro SP2):

Windows XP Pro SP2 installation CDs (two CDs, I don't have their keys :( ):

CD2:

Also, I got a romanian language interface pack which to be honest, I hate and I will never use it even if I would be forced to live on Windows XP SP2/3:

Oh, and finally I can say that I own two Office licenses :) - one which came with my windows tablet and the one in the pictures below - :

To be honest, I kinda like this "hologram technology" print but it's hard to take photos of it.
It's very reflective and it's very colorful, I wish I could take a photo with everything that it can show but it's way too reflective, so:
- photos may end mostly dark;
- the images would mostly be just a white dot;
- I would end in a picture.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how I could take a photo of each way those CDs can display their printed surface and also avoiding the issues I mentioned above?

Oh, and also I have some "Armanda series recovery disks" but when I inserted them in one of my computers, thei didn't seem to have any Windows on them so I ignored them for now, also, someone said that tomorrow I may get another original Windows XP(it wasn't sure which Windows version it would be) CD, if I get it, I will post it here too!

That is an awesome collection! I have bootlegged versions of windows XP but thats about it. I was looking online for a sealed box copy of XP but they go for $50+ :/

@alexandru_c Try a video, and move the camera around a little to show the reflection off.

Thanks for the idea! But it didn't worked because of issues with lighting the CD properly but I did take some photos and used the light of an old lamp, here are the results:

XP CD: (both of them are looking the same, only the "Part No." part is different)

Office 2000 Small Business CD1: (CD2 is almost identical so I didn't bother taking photos of it)

Well, because hardware seems to count, I hope that even already opened and still used hardware count too.

It was a pain to put that headset back in the original package because of the long and thick wire with remote and USB connector :/
