I'm still with my good old Vista-era PC, believe it or not! I'm not actually a massive enthusiast over hardware, so the following specs will be simple. :P

Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.4GHz
8GB RAM (upgraded from the original 2GB (I think))
4TB HDD (upgraded from the original 0.5TB)

Originally came with Vista Home Premium but currently running Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14316. Has also graced the presence of ME (but never managed to get it set up correctly - it's just too old!), 2000 (worked like a dream!), XP, 7, 8 and 8.1.
How to count to 10: 1, 2, 3, 3.1, NT 3.1, NT 3.5, 95, NT 4, 98, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10.

I have a refurbished HP Compaq 9000 desktop that was originally equipped with Windows 7 Professional and is now running Windows 10 (Pro) Insider Preview (forgot the Build number but it is the newest as of 17 April 2016)

It has 4gb of RAM and equipped with about 300 GB of memory and holds all Operating Systems (1.0-2000 + Longhorn 5048) in Virtual Machines.

I can't seem to afford a better PC yet, but I hope I could in the next few months.
Here's my current specs:

Lenovo ThinkCentre M58e Tower
Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93GHz
Nvidia Geforce 210 512MB
2x1GB DDR2
WD AV-GP 160GB + Fujitsu (unknown model) 160GB (from my old laptop)
300W PSU (OEM?)
Intel G41 Express

And here's my specs wishlist:
Xeon E3-1231v3 (I'm aware that Xeons are for workstation/server PCs, but actually, according to some tests, it works perfectly fine for gaming. See below for explanation)
MSI Geforce GTX 960 Gaming 2G
G.Skill Ripjaws X 2x8GB DDR3
WD Black 2TB + Galax Gamer SSD 240GB
Zumax Power ZU400 (400W)
MSI H97 PC Mate

The reason why I chose Xeon E3 as the CPU is because the Xeon E3 resembles an i7 processor, since it has hyperthreading and is a quad-core processor. According to some benchmarks, this one outperforms the Haswell Core i5 by over 2000 points. The Xeon E3-1231v3 is also cheaper than an i7-4770 (which has a fairly similar performance and tech specs, but has a 100MHz more turbo speed than this one).
According to Intel's ARK:
Xeon E3-1231v3 (box): $250.00
Core i7-4770 (box): $312.00
It's still defeated by the i7-4770 by 230 points on cpubenchmark.net, but that's not so significant (9600 points vs 9830), since probably it's the result of having 100MHz less turbo speed than the i7-4770.
It also performs quite well in gaming, just like your average i5 or i7 processor. See an example here.

I've actually wrote some more info about these here, but that one has a way longer explanation than this one.
I'd really like to see if I could tweak Windows 8 Dev Preview beta so that it could be used for everyday stuff!*
*Includes tweaking it to the point where it identifies as Windows 7 SP1.
