Hello from Washington State

Postby skyrocket » April 14th, 2016, 5:12 pm

Hey all! My name is Cody and I'm obviously from Washington State. I'm a huge fan of Microsoft, as of late, and have been moving more and more from Apple (all that's left is OS X) to the Microsoft side of thing, and I'm loving it! Just ordered a Surface 3, for a REALLY good price, and am anxiously waiting for the arrival of that. Anyways, I'm glad to be here to discuss the channel and the amazing content.

As you know, from Twitter (I'm @semantics) I was going to get a bundle for around $550 minus shipping and sales tax. Was just about to hit buy, but decided to check Swappa before paying. Found a 128 / 4 with all the accessories in immaculate condition with TGSP + InvisibleShield on the back (from day one) for $400 shipped. I happily went for that, and saved about $200 after all taxes and fees in the process. I'm stoked.

Welcome back Cody! (skyrocket) :D

That is great deal on the Surface 3. Well done! I think it's a really good device from Microsoft. I wonder what's next for the Surface line up? Could you imagine if they did a phone! :!:

I think it would make me switch from my iPhone immediately!

Anyway hope you will stay on the new forums!

Great deal on the Surface! Just an iPhone, really man? That's just a target on your back! I'm just teasing, it's a nice phone style but the iOS is just too terrible.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I promise that I'll be more active this time around... :D

I spent the last few hours doing some major computer related spring cleaning and boy it feels good. Did some heavy organization in OneDrive, wiped my old Windows 10 installation (it's been running since the Insider Preview was first announced) and did a fresh install of the stable build of Windows 10. I also re-purposed a spare laptop I've got laying around (Asus X205TA) for testing Windows builds on the fast ring. Although I didn't run into any stability issues while it was on my main setup, it's nice to be on the stable ring and not "live on the edge." I'll probably be back on the Insider Preview at some point on my main setup. I guarantee it.
